Facilities Planning

  • Programming - analyze and prepare space needs program of the required types, quantities, size, groupings and adjacencies of components

  • Facility / Site Assessment – analyze existing and projected site, building and systems requirements affecting the proposed program

  • Process and/or workflow analysis - analyze and articulate the essential process flow, functional relationships, and key success factors that contribute to a successful configuration.

  • Conceptual Plan: prepare conceptual configurations and alternatives

  • Feasibility Studies: space options, cost comparison, alternate relocate/build/rent scenarios

  • Budget Development: full cost projections including fees, permits, construction, furnishing & equipment.

  • Schedule Development: including phasing and construction impact mitigation planning

Business Specific Requirements

Most clients have standards and practices specific to their type of business to which we pay special attention. Examples include: “cGMP” (certified Good Manufacturing Practices) requirements for separation of GMP non-GMP areas in pharmaceutical businesses; or consistency with “Guidelines for Design and Construction of Health Care Facilities.”

Program Management

For select projects, we provide oversight and program management services from project initiation through completion. It is a compliment to our planning service for clients who are understaffed, or not familiar with the project process, and appreciate the value of continuity in project delivery.
